A few important notices to bring to your attention before the March Break!

The first day back after March Break for students is WEDNESDAY April 4th, 2018.
Triple P is the parenting program that helps make raising kids easier. It gives parents simple tips to help manage the big and small problems of family life! Problems like tantrums or teenage rebellion. Self-esteem issues. Bedtime battles. Disobedience. Aggression. Triple P can help you deal with them all – and more! And Triple P is one of the few parenting programs in the world with evidence to show it works for most families.
Cindy Wood, School Counsellor is offering Triple P Parenting Program for Parents/Caregivers in April. The Discussion Group will be limited to 15 parents and the program is free. You can register for one or all.

Parents are asked to email Cindy at email@example.com or call 902-368-6855 to register. These session will occur over four weeks on Monday evenings from 6-8 at Westwood School in the Multi purpose area. There are no child care services provided for this program.
Maurice Bernard Art Classes
Maurice Bernard will be offering after school art classes at Westwood in April. They will begin Thursday April 19th and continue for 5 Thursdays, It will be from 2:30-4pm each Thursday. These classes will involve drawing, painting, watercolour and clay modelling. The cost of the classes is $100 (taxes and supplies included). Early Years Evaluations (EYE)
The EYEs for new Kindergarten students will be happening at Westwood on April 5th, 6th, 9th and 10th. New Kindergarten students who are beginning in September should already have a scheduled time, if you do not, please contact the school to book.
All students at Westwood will be attending Bluefield High School’s production of “Camp Rock” on Tuesday April 10th. Permission forms must be returned asap. As our seating is limited, we will not be taking volunteers on this field trip.
PJ DAY FRIDAY
We are hosting a school wide PJ Day on Friday to collect money for the Easter Seals campaign. Any donation is welcome. Special thanks to 1B and Max MacDonald for writing a very persuasive letter to make this happen!
